The Zamucen Residence

A custom pool with laminar deck jets, a tanning ledge, and a raised spa, paired with a fire feature, natural flagstone paths, stone-veneer columns, and a water-wise landscape of lavender and ornamental grasses. Homeowner Nick Zamucen tells the story himself in the project film.

The vision

The brief asked for a true outdoor living space on a site with real views: water, fire, stone, and planting working as one composition rather than a set of separate installs. Everything was designed and engineered together under a single contract.

The site

Front Range conditions set the rules. Grades, drainage, structure, and sight lines had to resolve as one program, and the decking and coping are detailed for Colorado freeze-thaw cycles, drainage, and intense sun, the same discipline we bring to every pool and spa build.

The design direction

The custom pool anchors the yard. Laminar deck jets arc over the water, a tanning ledge holds the shallow end, and a raised spa spills back into the main body. Natural flagstone paths and stone-veneer columns tie the backyard to the architecture of the home.

The build

As a single-contract design-build team, we engineered and sequenced the pool, spa, fire feature, hardscape, and planting together instead of handing the yard between trades. The same material language carries to the front of the property: a stone-veneer garage base and a paver drive court, so the home reads as one designed estate from the driveway in.

The reveal

A fire feature extends the season into cool Colorado evenings. Around the stone, a water-wise palette of lavender, ornamental grasses, and river-rock beds softens the hardscape and keeps irrigation sensible. Rather than write the ending for you, we filmed it: homeowner Nick Zamucen tells the story in his own words.
